Dermal filler treatments using Hyaluderm®
A filler treatment is used to plump up lines and wrinkles. When treated the client gets an immediate result and a smooth natural appearance. Hyaluderm® is made up of a large sugar molecule called hyaluronic acid which is a natural component of the skin which helps to retain water and keep the skin firm. As we age, the amount of hyaluronic acid in our skin declines and creases become deeper and fixed so they remain at rest, not just when the muscles are working. Deeper lines and wrinkles which remain at rest cannot be fully treated with muscle relaxing treatments such as Botox®. A dermal filler will smooth the appearance of these fixed lines. Hyaluderm® does not contain animal or bacterial derived products and therefore causes no allergic reaction. Once in place the filler is slowly absorbed and naturally cleared by the body. The effects of Hyaluderm® should last between 5 and 7 months, often longer with further treatments. A small number of injections, using a very fine needle, are given under the lines being treated. To minimise any discomfort topical anaesthetic cream is applied to the area for half an hour before the treatment. There may be slight redness and tenderness after treatment, but this usually resolves quickly. |
